AGARA, a craft beer loved by the local community and proud to the world
"AGARA" means "our" in Wakayama dialect.
In order to create a craft beer that will be loved by everyone in the area, students at Wakayama University created a project, solicited people from the prefecture, and decided on “AGARA.”
AGARA means “our” in Wakayama dialect, and our hope is that it will become a craft beer that we can be proud of as a regional product. Wakayama Brewery now has two breweries and has begun to expand not only throughout Japan, but also overseas, and has grown to the point where it can export to Europe and Asia, with a focus on America.
We are proud that we have decided to export craft beer to America, the home of craft beer, and that AGARA has been recognized in America for its quality. We will continue to improve quality and create products with an awareness of trends.
